Here you’ll see how to create a hybrid recumbent.
First it’s called “Lowracer Cobalt-Samarium”,
now it’s called “Lowracer hybrid”.
I must use the pedal power to charge batteries and to drive.
The combination with the generator,battery and the motors is only a replacement for the looooong chain.
Another advantage, the drive hasn’t any dead-center position cause the batteries are buffering the power.

Leaf, Nissan electric car, Evehicle, Sign up customers in April, ship end of 2010
“Nissan Motor Co. said Thursday that it will start signing up customers in April who want to buy its new Leaf electric car, with shipments starting by the end of the year.
Nissan has shown the five-passenger sedan, which can go 100 miles on a single charge, at cities around the country over the last three months in a push to market zero-emission technology.”
“Nissan Americas Chairman Carlos Tavares said he expects about 20,000 people to sign up to purchase the vehicle.
The Japanese automaker will announce pricing in April, but a spokesman says the price will be similar to that of a base-level Toyota Prius hybrid, which starts at $22,800.”

Auto EV Japan exhibited the Italian “Girasole” electric vehicle at the International Automotive Electronics Technology Expo.
The Girasole is an electric vehicle that can be fully charged in about 7 to 8 hours from an ordinary 100V household outlet and can travel up to 120km on one charge. The charger is located in the vehicle, and thus the batteries can be recharged when away from home as well.
The cost to charge the Girasole is equivalent to a fuel efficiency level of 100km per liter for a gasoline powered car. The Girasole also offers acceleration performance that is comparable to that of a 2.0 liter gasoline vehicle, so it can be driven like ordinary gasoline powered cars even in urban areas.
An aluminum alloy frame with a unique design was adopted for the new Girasole, and as a result, a compact, lightweight, high strength body that can withstand 4 tons of static pressure was achieved.
Sales of the Girasole began in August 2007, and thus far a total of 130 cars have been delivered. The vehicle price is 2,604,000 yen, but those who purchase the Girasole can receive a subsidy of up to 770,000 yen by filing an application with the Electric Vehicle Promotion Center.

Hybrid cars are now becoming steadily popular available in different types from compact sedans to SUVs.
Environmental issues are not the only reason that has made the public favor hybrid cars.
Rising gas prices is also one of the major reasons why people prefer hybrid cars than conventional ones.
Its also practical in suburban environments where you don’t really need horsepower but gas mileage.
Hybrid vehicles
There are different types of hybrid vehicles. They can vary from the simplest wheelbarrows to ships.
No matter what form they are, these vehicles help in reducing greenhouse and noise emissions.
Although these vehicles are expensive due to their unique structures, developments will continue to provide more alternatives to the public.
These cars may not compare to conventional ones with a 200 horsepower but why would you need that if you only need 20 in the streets?
